Sweet Song of Ecstasy

walking through woods

I sing a sweet song of ecstasy,

In an ancient tongue.

The wind, clouds and sun,

Know the words.

They stand guard,

As I fumble in the dark,

A stranger in a foreign land.

Streams of light,

Beneath the fog,

Warm me, comfort me,

With blankets of love.

Trepidatiously following a path,

Searching with my toes,

The warm stones lead me,

To that which is known,

But forgotten,

Beckoning quietly,

Of my home.
